The ARCS Light Award is an annual award honoring a Chapter member for extraordinary service and personal leadership which benefits the Chapter. The ARCS Utah Chapter, is proud to present this year’s ARCS light award to Kathie Miller. Kathie is one of Utah’s most effective and successful community advocates. While she has supported many issues that are important to our state and communities, she has always been most passionate about education and health. As she has said, “Education and health are essential to changing our community – every child deserves a chance to live a healthy and productive life no matter their circumstances.”
A long-standing and dedicated member of the ARCS, Utah Chapter, Kathie and her husband Mark have funded and continue to fund ARCS scholars at the Moran Eye Center. Kathie will be invited to join other ARCS Light Award winners to receive her award at the annual ARCS national meeting in Washington, DC, this April.
