Sue Rice is well-known in the community as a business leader and advocate. She held positions at Envirocare, including being the first woman appointed as a senior Vice President. Sue left Envirocare to start Cavanaugh Waste Management, building a successful venture, selling Cavanaugh, and retiring a few years ago. Sue was recognized for her achievements by Ernst and Young’s Winning Women program, an international leadership award presented to business women who have achieved excellence in their organizations. Sue currently serves on Mayor Jackie Biskupski’s Business Advisory Board, representing business owners in Salt Lake City. She is a graduate of the University of Utah, where she achieved national recognition as part of the Lady Utes softball team. Sue is supporting ARCS mission by contributing to support of ARCS Scholars without being a member of a local ARCS Chapter.
