Update from Henry Crandall

Posted on Tuesday, December 10, 2024

Henry Crandall, ARCS Scholar 2021-22, recently completed his PhD proposal, moving one step closer to completing his degree.  Last year Henry received a prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.  The fellowship provides $150K in funding over 3 to 5 years to support his research on developing novel wearable health devices that can measure physiological changes associated with various diseases and conditions, such as blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.  He has launched two IRB human studies in partnership with the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and has submitted a journal article to Nature.   Henry also welcomed his first son, Charlie this year.  Congratulations all around, Henry!
